Desert Underground Sept. ’21
Palmdale, CA | # of participants: about 500 |
This was a pivotal moment for me because of the inspiration I obtained from the other vendors. To the right of me was artist named Austin (IG @notsosmooth) with his partner who brought their original paintings, and to the left was another couple that were making jewelry from pinecones (IG @sacred_sierra_creations). I was in the middle selling art prints and jewelry but my presentation was lacking in comparison to these two booths
While I was there, I took notes and adopted the way these two vendors presented their products. The artist showed me that you have to bring your best products and show the festival everything that makes you an artist. I felt an urge to bring my original art pieces and my best easels to my next event. On the other hand, the jewelry maker showed my that simplicity is important for packing in and packing out. The presentation was so simple yet very effective at focusing your attention on their products. I knew that the next time I participate in an event, I will be leveling up the presentation of my booth, my artwork, and my products
