Desert Underground 2022
Lucerne Valley, CA | # of participants: about 300 |
The venue was tucked away and hidden by a small drive through the desert. Once I arrived to the site, I was greeted by Will the vendor coordinator, so I set up my booth close to the stage. There was one stage but the soundsystem was boomin’ and the visuals from the projector were on point. It was a cold Winter night and I remember layering up because the temperature dropped below freezing. it warms me up to meet the other vendors and the attendees, and it’s especially sweet to see familiar faces.
What really warmed me up were the bonfires and the flow arts blazing up the night sky. I occupied most of my time by live painting with the other artists and sharing stories with people around the bonfire. I love when I can inspire others to make art or to continue making art. By painting in public I feel like I can inspire so many people. I enjoyed vending at Desert Underground, and I am looking forward to more events hosted by Lost and Found (Instagram @lostandfoundbeings).
