Wormhole 11 year anniversary

Public Works @ San Francisco | # of Attendees: ~300

This was my first time live painting at Public Works, and I was invited my @Prof.jelly as an initiate of the Wormhole Mural Squad. We were celebrating the 11th anniversary of music group called Wormhole, known for hosting one of the stages for a major bass festival called Untz Music Festival.

The space was really cool, and they placed the live painters together on the balcony looming over the main stage.

Studio 23 black light show ’23

Alameda, CA | # of Attendees: ~100

For this event I dressed up as an astronaut and brought my art to life with UV lights.  It was a pleasure to also see 2 members of the Wormhole Mural Squad, so we stood beside each other as we painted on our own pieces throughout the night. It was also nice to connect with the organizers of studio 23.

Vibey Desert 2023

Baron, CA | # of Attendees: ~400

This was in the middle of the Mohave Desert and I must admit, my vending booth blew with the wind. It tore through two of my original paintings, one of which was recently completed. I felt disheartened, but then I met with the live painters and they gave me tips on how to repair my paintings.

After this event, I realized that I should purchase some insurance before vending in a windy desert, and that I should take a break on renegade raves. Other than that It was fun, I met some cool people and connected with some really talented artists.

Bass Brunch – Live Painting

In the heart of San Francisco, this event hosted bass music and waffles to a crowd of 100 people. The sound quality was immaculate, and the performances were lively, from the music to the dancers.

I really liked the way they had everything set up, and you can tell they had the space well- thought out. They even had an inflatable slide with a pool of plastic balls like at Chuck-E-Cheeses! The vibes were nice.

Starvibes Campout – Decompression Event

Monarch Gardens, San Francisco | About 50 Participants

This was my first time painting live at this venue, and it wouldn’t be my last either. I made connections here that would bring me to future events in the San Francisco, so I was grateful for being a part of this event.

I discovered this event by searching for festivals in Northern California. Instagram can be very distracting, but it can be useful for networking. Initially I was going to be a part of their live painting of the festival, but I was in Romania visiting family during that time. So I made it to the decompression event and got a chance to work on a painting that I recently started.

La Honda Arts and Music Fair

La Honda, CA | # of Attendees: ~500

My second year at La Honda where I started a new painting. The first year I was placed by the food vendors but this time I was fairly close to the music, which was nice. I wish I was closer to the stage so that I can paint live while vending, but hey, maybe I can suggest that for the following year.

I camped on the grass parking lot again, where I met some other campers. They were nice to share their steak with me, so I felt at home being up in La Honda. They have a really strong community feel, which is why I would return the following year.
